もう一枚、古い絵のお話です。
This is another story about an old picture.
入笠山（にゆうかさやま）は長野県にあります。諏訪市のとなり、青柳というところから見た風景です。20号の大きさです。May1981 とのサインがあります。私が30歳のときですね。あのころ、あるカトリックグループの山の家がここにあり、夫のお友だちのカナダ人ブラザーが運営していて、そこへよくでかけました。印象派がすきで、「現場で絵を描く」ということにこだわっていた私は、20号のキャンバスとイーゼルを持っていき、田んぼのあぜ道で写生しました。
Nyukasayama is located in Nagano Prefecture. It is a landscape seen from Aoyagi,that is next to Suwa city. The size of this picture is No. 20. There is a sign of May1981. When I was 30 years old. At that time, a Catholic group’s mountain villa was here and it was managed by my husband’s friend, Canadian Brother, and we used to go there. I liked Impressionism and stuck to “painting on the spot”, so I took a big canvas and a easel and I sketched on the road in the rice field.
それからこのは絵はFさんによって額装され、ずっとこのロッジに飾られていたのですが、Fさんがカナダに帰国されることになり、山の家は売却され、そのときに仙台の教会の物置に入れられました。
Then, the picture was framed by Mr. F and was adorned in this lodge long time, but Mr. F was returned to Canada, the mountain house was sold, and at that time this picture was put in the storehouse of the church in Sendai .
カナダに帰られたFさんは、一年後、クロスカントリーの途中に山で急死されたのです。スペインの巡礼を楽しみにしておられ、体を鍛えておられたのでしたが。カナダは素晴らしいよ、遊びにおいでなさいと、クリスマスにイルミネーションの美しい写真を付けたメールをくださったばかりでした。まだ70歳過ぎたばかりでした。
One year after returning to Canada, Mr.F was suddenly dead in a mountain when he did the cross-country. He was looking forward to the Spanish pilgrimage and training his body. Canada was great, just before his death , he sent us an email with beautiful pictures of the illuminations at Christmas “Canada is great,you shoud come to play.” He was yet 70 years old.
何年かして、私は仙台へ行き、絵の所在を尋ねたのですが、探しておくとのお返事。その後見つかったとの連絡をいただき、友人に頼んで取りに行ってもらい（感謝！）、私の手に戻りました。今から十年ほど前のことです。
A few years later,(ten years ago from now) I went to Sendai and asked where is the picture. They didnot know about it that time but soon later , I recieved answer that it was found, and I asked my friend to go to Sendai and to get it (thanks!), And finary the picture returned to my hands.
点描で描いた風景画ですが、粗雑で色も汚くて手直しをしようと思いつつ手を付けられなかったのですが、今回出品するために、先生にアドバイスをいただいて描き直してみました。
It is a landscape painting drawn in stippling, it was rough and the color was dirty and I could not make any changes while trying to fix it, but for this exhibition ,I got advice from my teacher and repainted it.
5月らしくなったかな。Maybe iit become like a picture of May .
思い出は天国へ持っていけますが、絵は持っていけないので、これも断捨離。飾ってくれる方がいれば嬉しいです。
旅に出たら行きたいところの一つ、北スペイン、星の巡礼道。Fさんのために。
